CREATOR

WRITTEN, VISUAL, AUDIO, SOCIAL

From professional journalism to personal projects, I know how to give sports fans original content they crave on any platform, without sacrificing my creativity. On this page you will find a sample of my vast catalogue of content, including: - Videos from my YouTube channel, Pitchside with Parker - Videos produced for Marca's English website and social media - Videos and writing from major events like the MLS Cup Final, Leagues Cup Final and Super Bowl LIII - Writing for Marca and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution - My podcast, Elder 118 Sports Show, that I started with my freshman roommate in college Everything on this page (including this entire website!) was 100% created, written, and produced by me. It is also all edited by me, save for the articles for the AJC.

THE STORY BEHIND THE LOGO

The icon and the colors you see across this website, my YouTube channel, and my social media are more than just a logo. They represent who I am and what I do. When I started my YouTube channel with two videos and a dream in the middle of the global pandemic, the name "Pitchside with Parker" was recycled from a soccer column I wrote in college. It took on a new level of meaning when I commissioned my friend to create this logo, which went onto become a brand synonymous with everything I do. I have always been enamored with the striking beauty and audacity of the bicycle kick. It is the image I see when I think of the Beautiful Game, which is why I chose it as the center of the icon. What I do not see when I think of the Beautiful Game is a specific race or gender or physical identity of any kind, which is why we decided to leave the silhouette undefined. This logo is a physical and metaphorical representation of my mission when I started Pitchside with Parker: "Flipping soccer coverage on its head." My YouTube channel dedicated equal coverage to women's and men's soccer. The original column that the name came from, which also covered women's and men's soccer, was the first recurring column at Northwestern to cover a non-revenue sport. Inclusion has always been a pillar of my content, and my logo helps illustrate that the Beautiful Game is meant for everyone.
